haha yahhhh. I kinda haven't been on here in a week or so, aka forever. I haven't posted a journal since the dinosaurs were alive and well. I've worked on a lot of artsy things but haven't scanned them yet. this all is because

a.) I have school, which for me is actually a good thing. most of the time.

b.) I have a life. about TIME

c.) my printer/scanner/whatever is the devil

d.) I have a myspace now, and

e.) I'm busy. and when I'm not busy I'm lazy.

believe it or not these are all actually true excuses. haha...yah. well, I'm back, and I'm just gonna tell you all that I won't be as active as usual, sooooo deal with it! yayyy 8D

ohhhh and my hair's streaked with "brink" now (bright red pink, haha.) and I will get some pics up here soon, like tonight or tomorrow soon, or way later than that soon, depending on my levels of laziness/business/mostly laziness.

I've been pretty content with life lately. yay.

haha, I sound sooo excited right now, I know.

the only thing I'm missing right now is my friends. (psssh, besides mary, who we all know doesn't count) besides freakin M-Sizzle over here, I haven't hung out with my fwendlings since the dinosaurs were - yah. basically everyone but Mary and people like Katelyn and Josue and Lauren that I see at church need to hang out with me.

not some stereotypical beauty pageant, although all of the girls are pretty...especially Nicole it's like based on personality and role model what they do for the world and alll that.) it's called National American Miss, and she won in the Junior Teen division for southern california!!!! out of 103 FREAKIN GIRLS!!!! I'm so stoked for her. she won like, the crown and banner thing, and a trophy and like 1000 dollars and she's gonna go to Nationals and has a modeling contract and all of this amazing stuff. I still can't believe she won - everyone was in SHOCK that she beat Vannie and all the girls who had done the pageant for so much longer. but she worked sooo hard for it, so she deserved it, totally. and the raddest part was that I think she talked about how she was a Christian, so she's also representing God. and I prayed for her a lot so...yaaaay! soooooo. art-wise I'm working on this really sick acrylic pop-art painting with Audrey Hepburn and rainbow swirly things. oh yes. rainbow swirly things. so look forward to that and some other things.

ohhh, and I registered for OCHSA finally -is excited-

and I'm starting school this Tuesday -is pissed-

buuuuut that's okay because I'll have awesome hair and school will end two weeks earlier, so technically I'll have an extra week of summer -is excited again-

it was the picture that gave me the idea in the first place. and the streaks will most likely be like that, compared to the other pic they're a bit more suttle and not as chunky. thinner streaks I guess. also my hair isn't gonna be that short, it'll be...like the length I cut it last time I got it cut probably. A-line, from the neck to a few inches below the chin, and more razored. but not as razored and layered i think, because I want it to look good curly, too. and I'm also not too sure what effect layers would have on streaks.

oh and also I have been obsessed with MGMT lately. their songs are alll so catchy and techno-y and indie rock-y and all that.

I have a couple of ideas for photos & pictures & stuff, but I haven't really gotten around to draw anything new in the past week besides a couple doodles.

I've been reading too much. seriously, like a book a day. literally. actually I'm almost done with my third one, and I started this morning. the first two were the last two princess diaries books. those books are freaking hilarious

anyway, I only have one book left basically, so I'll probably get around to drawing something.

I'm gonna see the Dark Knight for the 2nd time with Mary. x]

holy crap we had the BEST photoshoot everrrrrr. we were geeks with sneakers (well I had crocs) and high mismatching socks, matching neon supenders holding up high-waisted plaid shorts, collared blouse shirts thingies, complete with pimples and a unibrow and geek hair. oh yes. sexy. then we were emo kids, which is basically self-explanatory...y'know, black and tightness and bows and straight hair and black smudgy makeuppps. then we were SCENE which was too much fun xD and oh God, the videos we did wheile we were taking pictures - too funny! I would so post the vid of me catching Mary dancing to Cascada while she was emo, along with the following one of me telling her she's not emo anymore and then she starts attacking me with a comb xD

but our parents are both...URRRGH.

I mean, I love my momma, but...overprotective much? YAH.

I've been fooling around with names based off of lyrics, and so far I like the-hopeless-haze the best. that's the only one I can remember, the other ones were in my URL bar thing but the history was cleared recently so they don't show anymore. (the lyrics are from "Change Your Mind" by the Killers.)

I'm probably going to come up with some more, but if you can find some cool lyrics in 20 or less characters that are from bands I like, that'd really help. :] also, just any kind of input, on whether or not I should do it, what I should bring with me to the new account, all that would be good.

sorry I've been kinda gone since Tuesday...my cousin Erika has taken over the computer since my cousins and aunt came, myspacin' it up. and playing Dell games. a lot.

I think I mentioned them last summer...Erika, my preppy-ish cousin who's 17 now, and Lauren, her sister who didn't come last year, the goth one who I think is 20 now. and of course my Aunt Shelly who I love to death she's trying to lose weight now and is on Weight Watchers, which is a really good thing. I'm happy and proud of her. I've been exercising with her, actually :] she makes it fun.

so they're over until next Thursday. I've been busier since then, going to the beach and the movies with them...oh my God. I saw the Dark Knight.

possibly...possibly the BEST movie ever. the best movie since Little Miss Sunshine, and for me that's saying something

Heath Ledger was amazing in that movie, and it only makes me so much sadder that he isn't still alive and with Matilda and Michelle and his family...it's one of those deaths that so shouldn't have happened. I don't think it was his time. :\

but he was REALLY amazing. the character, you won't believe it. you'll find yourself LAUGHING as a hospital is being blown up (don't worry, it's evacuated) because of how he's skipping down the steps in a nurse outfit. you're scared of him, and at the same time you're laughing at him, and at the same time you're mad at him but you don't want him to die because somehow you actually like him. usually with other bad guys you're like PLEASE DIE NOWWWW but not him. it's amazing. I have no way to express just how amazing it is. not just Heath. all of the acting is amazing, the plot and storyline and everything...it's just...wow.

If Heath doesn't win for Best Actor I'll be pissed.

so I'm out of lifeguards. I'm probably going to aid next year, cause you can get a ton of money for it. chances are I won't get that digital camera this week because I'll be busy having fun with the cousins (they're so much fun! I missed them too much :]) - I'll just take pictures with the 'family camera' haha xD it's a nice dig. camera though, so I might update some photos or somethin...
